New Year, New Decade. Happy New Year to everyone!! The past year was a tough year for many people. The first decade of the new century was called the worse decade ever, consisting of many events such as 9/11, tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, and economic crisis. Looking forward, we hope this new decade will bring us hope, happiness and prosperity. Best wishes!
2010 Chinese New Year at the Domes
will take place at the Domes (524 S. Layton Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53215) on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Event Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Ticket info:

2010 MCCC Chinese New Year Party
will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School located at 4257 N. 100th Street. The programs will include MMCS student performance, New Year celebration dinner, MCCC Song and Dance Troupe performance in the evening, followed by dance and Karaoke. Chinese New Year Gala 2010 will be held at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Student Union, Wisconsin room, on February 20th starting at 5:00pm. For further information, please check attached flyer.
“Embrace China” USA Tour
will make its debut in Wisconsin at the Oconomowoc Arts Center on February 21, 2009.

Milwaukee Youth Chinese Music Ensemble
had a great performance at the Marcus Performing Art Center to celebrate Martin Luther King's Birthday. There were 25 girls and boys of the ensemble on the stage. Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund has been set up by MMCS/MCCC to support the efforts in rescuing the devastated victims and rebuilding the country. Your donations, small or big, are welcome. There will be a donation box set up in room 198 in a few weeks. If you would like to give check donation, please indicate specifically for Haiti Earthquake Relief on the check and mail checks to: Milwaukee Chinese Community Center, PO Box 664 Brookfield, WI 53008-0664. Check payable to MCCC.
The MCCC Song and Dance Troupe is participating in several upcoming community events. The first event is Oscar Night at Sheboygan where MCCC dancers will perform and help with fundraising. The performance will be at the Stephanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts on the 27th of February starting at 6:30 PM. The theme is “Around the World in 80 Days” based on the Oscar winning film of 1956. We will be one of the destinations in the people’s trip around the world. The second event is on the same day, 6:30 PM on February 27th. This is the Urban Economic Development Association’s 3nd annual “Carnival Milwaukee” held at the Milwaukee County Zoo. A separate group of our MCCC dancers will be performing at this event while another will be at Sheboygan. This event is in celebration of the diversity in Milwaukee and will have food, entertainment and live music from a variety of different ethnic groups.
